Sridevi's son to debut soon

Boney Kapoor is launching his 24 year old son arjun early next year. Though there had been a lot of speculation on the matter, Boney had thus far refrained from making any statements on his son’s future. Confirming the news now, Boney says, ‘I think arjun is ready for a launch. He knows the ropes of filmmaking. He has worked with Karan Johar and Nikhil Advani and assisted Karan in Kal Ho Na Ho.He is ready to face the camera.’ Boney adds, ‘I do have a timeframe for his launch. I want to complete the sequel of ‘No Entry,’ which is in the process of being scripted now. Then Ill get onto arjun’s project. As per information arjun was once dating Salman Khan’s sister Arpita. She later dumped him for business tycoon Pramod Goenka’s son Yash. The buzz now is that arjun will be paired with Sonakshi Sinha (D/O Shatrugan Sinha) in his debut. But As for his two daughters with Sridevi, Boney is not sure if they would eventually pursue a career in acting. He says, ‘It is too early to comment.’

YSR disappoints Movie Buffs

‘bhageerathudu,’ the movie from Giri Reddy with Vinod Kumar and Yamuna in the lead roles is based on the real life of Dr. YS Rajasekhar Reddy. Titled as ‘bhageerathudu’ with ‘Jalayagnam’ as backdrop and YSR death anniversary falling tomorrow, there was a bit of enthusiasm among movie buffs. Although movie was scheduled to hit the screens today, unfortunately due to some unforeseen problems release has been postponed for tomorrow, as per information from Sree Sai Universal Films. YSR followers and regular movie buffs who were waiting for the release were disappointed with this postponement. So, wait till tomorrow to get the update of ‘bhageerathudu.’

Ticket rates: Producers Happy - Audience Unhappy

As big season for tollywood is to start with ‘Koamram Puli’ followed by Rajinikanth’s ‘Robot,’ Mahesh Babu’s ‘Khaleja,’ Junior NTR’s ‘Brindavanam,’ Nagarjuna’s ‘Gaganam’ and the list goes on till January next year and we see at least a singe or two big releases every month. Well, Film buffs who are waiting for these releases of their favorite stars could be in for a shock as ticket prices are to go souring with the present upper limit of Rs. 50 in urban areas could be increased to Rs. 70 while upper limit in rural areas is Rs. 25 which could be increased to Rs. 50. To encash the craze that film buffs, Telugu film industry in a quick move has decided to approach the state government to increase film ticket rates. While Telangana Film Chamber of Commerce expressed its stand saying that film ticket rates should be hiked, it is Andhra Pradesh Film Chamber of Commerce had a meeting with producers, directors, distributors and exhibitors two days ago and came to a consensus on the issue.

PAWAN’S ‘MERUPU’ ROLE IN CHARAN’S FILM?

AGAIN I WANT TO WORK WITH AAMIR: KAREENA

After cooking up a crackling chemistry with Aamir Khan in the blockbuster “3 Idiots”, actress Kareena Kapoor says she wants to team up with him once again. “I want to work with Aamir, but he is not doing any film for a year, ” Kareena lamented. She is very keen that her actor boyfriend Saif Ali Khan should work with “3 Idiots” director Rajkumar Hirani.

Legal Notice To RAM GOPAL VARMA - The Inside Details of RAKTHA CHARITRA

Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Rakta Charitra’ has been causing enough noise to catch the attention of many and now it has reached the stage of controversy. Well, the genius director received a warning of sorts in the form of a legal notice and this has come from Anantapur, the land of factions. Addressed to Ramu’s both addresses in Hyderabad and Mumbai, this was sent from Uma Rani w/o late Narasimha Reddy and Usha Rani w/o Chandra Prasad. This has been served on behalf of Anuradha w/o S Gunakar Reddy and S Suneetha w/o Jakeer Hussain who are the other sisters and the daughters of late Chenna Reddy and his wife Parvathamma. As a backdrop, the notice gives details of the power battle in Penukonda constituency between Gangula Narayana Reddy and Paritala Sri Ramulu from two faction families. After a series of killings from either ends, both leaders got killed in faction murders. In 1991, Sane Chenna Reddy came to power and this was opposed by Paritala Ravi s/o Sri Ramulu. Soon, Chenna Reddy was allegedly killed by Ravi and that went on to the killing of Chenna Reddy’s two sons. In came Gangula Suryanarayana Reddy alias Suri and the battle between Ravi and Suri began. Finally, Ravi got killed and Suri is currently on bail facing charges of murder. Now, the notice from the clients said that they have heard from several sources that Ramu’s film ‘Rakta Charitra’ is based on his discussions with families of Suri and Ravi but he never cared to get in touch with Sane Chenna Reddy’s family so the genuiness of facts is being questioned. That Ramu has shown both Obul Reddy and Ramana Reddy sons of Chenna Reddy in bad light which affects the reputation and image of their family. That Obul Reddy was shown as a rapist in the film whereas in reality, the crimes of rape were allegedly committed by Raghunath Reddy, brother of Suri. That both Ramana Reddy and Obul Reddy were depicted as villains in the film while Suri and Ravi were depicted as heroes, this is understood from the teasers and other media sources. Since Chenna Reddy was an MLA during the time of his assassination and his son Ramana Reddy was an ex-MLA, the family’s reputation is being put at stake due to the film. In view of the above points, the notice served to RGV has demanded that all those scenes must be deleted from the film ‘Rakta Charitra’ and even the dialogues which may affect the reputation of the Sane family must be removed. They have also demanded that a script of the film be sent to the advocate who has issued the notice failing which necessary legal action would be taken. The copies of this was sent to Secretary, Home & Cinematography, Regional Office Censor Board with a request to stop issuing a certificate to the film.

YSR Film Bhagirathudu To Be Released On Sept 1

Bhagirathudu, the film on life history of the former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy will be released in the state on September 1. The film was produced and directed by T Satyanarayana Reddy alias Giri Reddy. Releasing the audio CD of the film at a programme held on Saturday, Congress leader Chirla Jaggireddy praised late chief minister for taking up several welfare schemes including Jala Yagnam to transform the state as a Harithandhra Pradesh. He appreciated the film producer for filming the life history of a great man. Film producer's kin and Visakha City Congress general secretary Chirla Satyanarayana Reddy said that the film would be released both in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka on September 1 which is one day before the death anniversary of the former chief minister. He said that there were nine songs in the film and prominent playback singers S P Balasubramanyam, Sankar Mahadevan, Sadhana Sargam and Manju rendered the songs. Noted actor Vinod Kumar played the role of Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy while actress Yamuna played the role of Y.S.R's wife Vijayalakshmi. The role of his son Jaganmohan Reddy was played by Sri Harsha while his daughter Sharmila's role was played by Hasini.

RAVI TEJA’S MOVIE VEERA LAUNCHED

Ravi Teja as hero a new film titled ‘Veera’ was launched under Ramesh Varma’s direction. The regular shooting will commence after the completion of his ongoing film ‘Mirapakaya’. We have learnt that there are three heroines in the film. While Anushka and Tapsee are the two heroines, the third one is yet to be finalized. Produced by Ganesh Indukuri under Sanvi Productions, the film has music by Devisri Prasad and camera by Shyam K Naidu.

Visaka Talkies that produced ‘Maa Annayya Bangaram’ with Dr Rajasekhar is once again getting ready to launch yet another film with him as hero. Producer Natti Kumar will make this movie with ‘A Film by Aravind’ fame Sekhar Suri. Briefing the details of the film Natti Kumar said, “This is an action oriented film portraying Rajasekhar as powerful police officer. We are going to make this film in Telugu and Tamil with a budget of Rs 8 crores. We will announce the details of the cast soon. The shooting will begin shortly. There will be a 20 day shoot in Bangkok.”
